1. Keying signal generator for television inlay effect using scene dot analysis signals and comprising means for generating reference signals which are a function of the color coordinates xi (i varying from 1 to n, n being integer and at least equal to 2) of the dots on n reference axes xi of the color space, and comparing means for judging whether the reference signals satisfy predetermined conditions, characterized in that the generating means comprise : n computing circuits (5, 6) for computing ki (xi - xi **o ) wherein ki and xi **o are constants ; n squaring circuits (7, 8) respectively coupled to the outputs of the n computing circuits ; and a summing circuit (9) coupled to the outputs of the n computing circuits and the output of which provides the reference signals ; and in that the comparing means (10, 13) proceed with the judgment by comparing the level of the reference signals with a voltage (V1 , V2 ) of constant value.
