PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal capable of reducing useless power consumption without putting burdens on a user.SOLUTION: The portable terminal includes: a posture detection part 3 for detecting a posture of a portable terminal 1; a storage part 4 for storing the posture detected in the posture detection part 3 during a terminal operation; a same posture determination part 6 for determining whether or not the present posture is the same as the posture during a terminal operation, that is stored in the storage part 4; and a power saving control part 7 for controlling shift to a power saving mode on the basis of a determination result of the same posture determination part 6. The posture of the terminal when a user is using the portable terminal 1 is stored, the shift to the power saving mode is inhibited or suppressed when the present posture is the same as the posture during the terminal operation, that is stored in the storage part 4, and the shift to the power saving mode is immediately executed or is executed after the lapse of prescribed non-operation time when the present posture is not the same as the posture during the terminal operation, that is stored in the storage part 4. |
