PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary solenoid which can convert a linear motion into a rotary motion, and whose costs can be reduced since a permanent magnet is not required.SOLUTION: A movable gear 40 displaces in the axis direction by energization of a coil 7, a projected part of the movable gear 40 slides in a groove part 21 of a second housing 20, a movable wavy gear 40a slides on the tooth surface of an inner peripheral gear 32a, and thus, the movable gear 40 is engaged into the inner peripheral gear 32a. A rotary solenoid is constituted so that a rotational axis 30 moves in the axis direction by energization force of a spring 6, an outer peripheral gear 31a of the rotational axis 30 slides on the tooth surface of a fixed wavy gear 20a of the second housing 20, and thus, the rotational axis 30 rotates. |
