PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanotube-based signal measuring device for measuring an electromagnetic signal.SOLUTION: A signal measuring device 120 includes a carbon nanotube structure 114 comprising a plurality of carbon nanotubes and an electromagnetic signal source 112 spaced from the carbon nanotube structure by a prescribed distance. The carbon nanotube structure produces a sound wave by absorbing an electromagnetic signal 118. The carbon nanotube structure absorbs the electromagnetic signal to generate heat and exchanges the heat with a surrounding medium to cause a sound wave to be produced from the medium. |
