PURPOSE: An electrophoretic image display device is provided to control the electrophoretic rate of electrophoresis particles influenced by electric fields by generating the electric fields having different intensity in a pixel region. CONSTITUTION: Electrophoresis particles (103) are selectively adopted to multiple cavities. Electric fields having different intensities are formed between a first electrode and a second electrode according to the distance between a second electrode of a first substrate (110) and a second electrode (210) of a second substrate (200). An electrophoretic image display device uses the electrophoretic rate of the electrophoresis particles varied according to the intensities of electric fields for indicating grayscale at multiple pixel regions. |
