PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage element and a storage device which are capable of further micronization while also maintaining excellent heat insulation properties.SOLUTION: The storage element includes a first electrode, a storage layer, and a second electrode in that order, has a heat insulation layer formed in at least part of a surface of the storage layer facing the second electrode and a side wall of the storage layer. The storage device includes a plurality of storage elements, each one of which includes a first electrode, a storage layer, and a second electrode in that order, has a heat insulation layer formed in at least part of a surface of the storage layer facing the second electrode and a side wall of the storage layer. |
