PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-cost speed measurement device having small power consumption, and stably and comparatively accurately obtaining measurement results of both a head speed and a ball speed.SOLUTION: A speed measurement device includes: a Doppler sensor 11 outputting a Doppler signal; a comparator 12 comparing the Doppler signal outputted by the Doppler sensor with a reference to binarize the Doppler signal; a first microcomputer 14 calculating a head speed based on the output of the comparator; and a second microcomputer 17 obtaining a ball speed by FFT based on the Doppler signal. Furthermore, the first microcomputer includes a function of distinguishing the presence/absence of a swing of a golf club, starts the accumulation of the Doppler signal when it is distinguished that the swing is performed, and performs FFT processing. |
