PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of image unevenness by removing toner or the like adhered on a sleeve of a developing roll after toner is transferred from a developing roll to a latent image on a photoreceptor drum to develop the latent image.SOLUTION: A magnetic member 31 is disposed facing a conveyance pole S8 magnetized by a second magnet roll 24a without having a layer regulating member 29. Magnetic poles having the same polarity as the conveyance pole S8 are provided on a surface facing the magnetic roll of the magnetic member. A repulsive magnetic field acts between the magnetic poles to push a magnetic carrier 41 on a second sleeve and rub a peripheral surface of the sleeve. Thus, toner 42 or an external additive 43 adhered to a peripheral surface of the second sleeve is scrapped off and adhered to the magnetic carrier. Then, the magnetic carrier on the second sleeve is peeled off by a repulsive magnetic field of peeling poles N9 and N10. Thus, the generation of an image history is suppressed by eliminating unevenness based on images facing each other in a developing area of the toner and the external additive adhered to the peripheral surface of the second sleeve. |
