PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for manufacturing a reinforcement fiber base material capable of producing a high-quality reinforcement fiber base material by preventing occurrence of a defect such as creases in laminating base material sheets.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a reinforcement fiber base material used for producing the reinforcement fiber base material by laminating base material sheets 5 including reinforcement fibers 6 on a die 2 having a double-curved surface shape, the base material sheet 5 is supplied onto the die 2 from a base material roll 10 to bring the base material sheet 5 into press contact with the die 2 while imparting different distributions in the width direction (X-direction) to length in a sheet supply direction (Y-direction) of the base material sheet 5 in response to the double-curved shape of the die 2.
