PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which is excellent in economical efficiency and has a lot of illumination patterns.SOLUTION: The portable terminal includes: a housing 11 having a transmission part 11a capable of transmitting ultraviolet rays and visible light, for which the transmission part 11a can be covered with a cover that contains a substance to emit light by the ultraviolet rays and transmits the visible light; a first light source 12 for emitting the visible light from the inside of the housing 11 through the transmission part 11a; and a second light source 13 for emitting the ultraviolet rays from the inside of the housing 11 through the transmission part 11a.
