PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform re-setting of a certificate used for security communication simply and cheaply while securing usability.SOLUTION: A network system 1 transmits a creation instruction on a certificate request from a management device AC to a plurality of devices K1-Kn having certificates expiration dates of which are close to end, and in response to the creation instruction, the devices K1-Kn moves from an operation region to a provisional operation region of a certificate storage function unit, and a security communication function unit for performing security communication with the use of a certificate uses a certificate in the provisional operation region, and the management device AC transmits certificate requests from the devices K1-Kn in a lump to an authentication station, and performs setup instructions by transmitting certificates transmitted by the authentication station to the respective devices K1-Kn. Each of the devices K1-Kn stores the transmitted certificate in the operation region, and the security communication function unit communicates by switching to security communication using the certificate in the operation region. |
