This C-frame pressure injection moulding machine has no slide bars. The die halves are mounted on opposite limbs of the C-frame, which accepts the closing and dwell pressures exerted. Measures are included to compensate the deflection of the frame, holding the die mounting platens parallel. In the novel arrangement, at least one of the limbs (2, 3) is two-part, such that its face opposing the other limb is a moving part (6) of the frame, mounted to float on the fixed part (7) of the C-frame.
