PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device and an image forming apparatus enabling a stapling part and a saddle folding part to be used according to failure condition of a punching part.SOLUTION: A post-processing device 100 supplies paper sheets to a punching part 120 when it is determined that the punching part 120 has failed. The post-processing device 100 enables the paper sheets to be supplied to a stapling part 130 and a saddle folding part 140 when the paper sheets are detected by a second detecting sensor 170 within a first period of time after a first detecting sensor 160 detects the paper sheets by the supply of the paper sheets to the punching part 120. The post-processing device 100 does not convey the paper sheets unless the paper sheets are detected by the second detecting sensor 170 within the first period of time after the first detecting sensor 160 detects the paper sheets by the supply of the paper sheets to the punching part 120. |
