Method for preparation of tetrahydroquinoline derivatives

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a teterhydroquinoline derivative is provided to directly synthesize the tetrahydroquinoline derivative with high yield from aldehyde under the presence of organic acid and a base additive. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a tetrahydroquinoline derivative comprises a step of reacting o-dialkylamino benzaldehyde and nitroacetate using a benzene solvent under the presence of benzoic acid and piperidine. O-dialkylamino benzaldehyde has a structure of chemical formula 1. Nitroacetate has a structure of chemical formula 2. The tetrahydroquinoline derivative of chemical formula 5 is prepared by reflux under the presence of benzoic acid and a piperidine additive.
