PURPOSE: An electronic device and a control method thereof are provided to effectively offer a navigation service by connecting an external device. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(110) forms a communication link with a navigation device. A control unit(180) provides a user interface including one or more control commands for controlling the operation of the navigation device to a display module(151). When one of the control commands is selected, the control unit transmits the selected control command to the navigate on device.
