A measurement unit (200) measures the voltage and current of battery cells (100). A battery control unit (400) calculates an estimated value for residual capacity of a current battery cell (100) by integrating current. A reference voltage V1 which acts as a trigger for processing to correct the estimated value of residual capacity, and a warning voltage Va, which is a voltage that is higher than the reference voltage, are set to the voltage of the battery cell (100). In addition, the battery control unit (400) continues discharge to all battery cells (100) if a warning condition is not met, the warning condition being that the voltage of the cell with the lowest capacity drops to or below a warning voltage, and if the voltage of the cell with the lowest capacity satisfies the warning condition, outputs a first signal. |
