The purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel composition that can promote the proliferation of a fibroblast and can activate the proliferation ability of a fibroblast, which has been deteriorated by an external factor such as ultraviolet ray, aging or the like, and therefore is useful for improving wrinkling or sagging of the skin, recovering tension or elasticity of the skin or improving the moisture-retaining function of the skin, and can be used effectively for cosmetic purposes. A composition comprising: (A) a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence represented by formula (I) Xaa1-Asp-Leu-Asp-Val-Xaa2 (SEQ ID NO: 1) [wherein Xaa1 and Xaa2 may be present or absent and, if present, independently represent an arbitrary amino acid residue], a derivative thereof of the peptide, or a salt of the peptide or the derivative; and (B) a polysaccharide. |
