PURPOSE: A preheater for the engine of a vehicle in an ignition condition is provided to apply heat to an ignition unit according to the increase of a resistant value in a resistant body in order to preheat the engine in the ignition condition when the value of a transmitted electric current in a battery part is amplified into a positive value, thereby preventing the engine from not being ignited in cold weather. CONSTITUTION: A preheater for the engine of a vehicle in an ignition condition includes a chassis inner configuration part having a heater (110), a relay part (120), a battery part (130), and control part. The heater is installed at an ignition unit. When a switch is turned on by a user and the value of a transmitted electric current in a battery part is amplified into a positive value (+), the heater applies heat to the ignition unit in order to preheat the engine in the ignition condition according to the increase of a resistant value in a resistant body. When the switch is automatically turned off by the control part after predetermined time passes and the value of the transmitted electric current in the battery part is amplified into the negative value (-), the heater stops applying the heat to the ignition unit.
