The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method or the like for producing a light-emitting device in which a thin light-emitting layer can be implemented while having a structure in which the liquid, which is the light-emitting material, can be replaced. A method for producing a light-emitting device having a first electrode and a second electrode layer disposed facing the first electrode, and in which voltage is applied via a liquid, which is a light-emitting material, between the first electrode and the second electrode layer, the method characterized in including: an intermediate layer formation step for forming an intermediate layer having a spacer for keeping the first electrode and the second electrode layer apart to maintain an electrically insulated state, and a sacrificial part that can be removed using a removing agent, the intermediate layer being formed on the surface of the first electrode that faces that second electrode layer; a second electrode layer formation step for forming a second electrode layer in which through-holes for exposing a portion of the sacrificial part have been formed, the second electrode layer being formed on the surface of the intermediate layer that faces the second electrode layer; and a sacrificial part removal step for removing the sacrificial part by using a removing agent on the sacrificial part.
|
