PURPOSE: A control method of an alternating current (AC) motor is provided to implement high motor torque by utilizing peak voltage in a hexagon voltage modulation controller (HVMC) voltage control mode. CONSTITUTION: An operation unit (310) produces an instruction current vector. A current vector control part (320) outputs an instruction voltage vector. A voltage vector control part (330) is operated with an HVMC voltage control mode. A position velocity estimation part (340) estimates permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) position and rotating speed. A pulse width modulation (PWM) controller (350) controls the operation of a PMSM with PWM switching.
