MOLDING TOOL WITH CONFORMAL PORTIONS AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A molding tool having a conformal part is provided to contain a conformal heating line and cooling line. CONSTITUTION: A mold core package is for forming a molding tool. The mold core package comprises: a binding composition; multiple laminated particle layers for forming a sacrificial wall for a mold cavity; and a displacement line and displacement body for the displacement of molten materials applied to the mold core package. A manufacturing method for the molding tool comprises the following steps: a step of depositing a thin layer of particles; a step of selectively applying a binding composition to the thin layer of particles to form a cross section of the mold core package; a step of forming a mold core package having a sacrificial displacement body which is adjacent to the mold core package wall forming a mold surface; a step of repeating the step of selectively applying the binding composition to the thin layer of particles to form a cross section of the mold core package; and a step of applying molten materials to the mold core package to form the molding tool.
