PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rubber composition which achieves good workability and prevents trouble from occurring in a process even when a silane coupling agent having a mercapto group is mixed.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a rubber composition including a rubber component containing modified diene rubber, silica, and the silane coupling agent having the mercapto group, includes: a process 1 of kneading the modified diene rubber and silica until when a temperature of kneaded material reaches 160-170°C; and a process 2 of inputting the silane coupling agent having the mercapto group in a kneading machine, and kneading the kneaded material obtained in the process 1 and the silane coupling agent having the mercapto group until when a temperature of kneaded material reaches 135-155°C. |
