PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pin type retainer and a roller bearing, capable of reducing internal stress of a pin and having a long service life.SOLUTION: A pin type retainer 10 is formed by inserting, without press-fitting, a steel bush 24 that contains austenite and holds a pin 23 on an inner circumferential surface thereof, into a through-hole 31 of a second ring 21, then heating to convert the austenite into martensite and to expand the bush 24, and thereby, fixing the bush 24 with a fastening margin into the through-hole 31. |
