PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a handrail, capable of manufacturing the handrail integrally by making an extruding speed of an extruder for an outer material constant and by manufacturing a synthetic resin handrail member separately from a metallic pipe and then inserting the metallic pipe into the handrail member.SOLUTION: A base resin material is extruded by a first extruder 15 and is cooled so as to mold a base pipe 2. The base pipe 2 is taken off at a constant speed by a first take-off machine 13 and the base pipe 2 is taken off by a second take-off machine 14. At the same time, the base pipe 2 is pushed to a second extruder 15 and by adjusting a take-off speed of the second take-off machine 14 while an outer resin material is extruded from the second extruder 15 onto an outer peripheral face of the base pipe 2 at a constant speed, an outer pipe 3 in which swelling parts 7 are formed at intervals in a length direction of the base pipe 2 is extruded and cooled, so as to be molded integrally with the base pipe 2. A handrail member 4 having a double pipe structure consisting of the base pipe 2 and the outer pipe 3 is taken off by a third take-off machine 17 at a constant speed. |
