The loading device (10) has a securing unit (20) for securing of freight in a luggage space (70) with a clamping unit. A retensioning unit (30) is provided to ensure a multi-stage clamping of the securing unit. A locking unit is formed to lock or unlock the clamping unit. A coupling unit (60) couples the securing unit with a counter piece (61). The retensioning unit is arranged between the securing unit and the coupling unit. The locking unit comprises an actuator which allows locking of the clamping unit in initial state and clamping of the clamping unit in actuated condition. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a luggage space with a guide unit; and (2) a method for securing of freight to-be transported in a luggage space.
