PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller chain which reduces noise generated by a lubricant at engagement with a sprocket and by the lubricant at the release of the engagement.SOLUTION: A roller chain 110 alternately and numerously connects inner link plates 111 and outer link plates 114 in a chain longitudinal direction by using bushes 112 and connecting pins 113, and makes rollers 115 engaged with a sprocket. Also in the roller chain 110, the rollers 115 have external peripheral faces 115a composed of centers 115b in roller width directions, and sides 115c in the roller width directions which are arranged at both sides of the centers 115b in the roller width directions and gradually become smaller than diameters of the centers 115b in the roller width directions as progressing toward sides in width directions, and at least the sides 115c in the roller width directions of the external peripheral faces 115a are formed into curved faces so as to be protrusive to the outside when viewed from cross sections passing through axial directions of the rollers 115. |
