PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of making the temperature distribution of a detection element approximately uniform and stabilizing sensor output in a short period of time, and excellent in starting performance.SOLUTION: A gas sensor comprises: a detection element for outputting a detection signal corresponding to a concentration of detection object gas; and heaters for heating the detection element to an operation temperature and supporting the detection element in a lamination direction. The heater includes: a first portion overlapping with a projection area in the lamination direction of electrodes of the detection element; and a second portion not overlapping with the projection area in the lamination direction of the electrodes of the detection element. The gas sensor is configured in such a manner that it has a part in which the interval between the adjacent heaters is short in the first portion and a part in which the interval between the adjacent heaters is long in the second portion. |
