PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lantern capable of efficiently utilizing light generated from an LED light source and uniformly irradiating light on a wide range.SOLUTION: A lantern 1 with an LED light source 3 is structured of: a transparent body 2 having a first pyramidal side face 2b with a cross-section angle of an apex part 2b set in an acute angle and a bottom part into which light from the LED light source is incident and having light incident from the LED light source emitted from the first pyramidal side face; a body 4 retaining a base end part of the transparent body and incorporating a power source device; and a retaining means 5 capable of retaining the body 4 in a given posture.
