PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an extension method for an earth retaining wall and an earth retaining wall structure which enable the depth of an existing earth retaining wall to be increased easily without dismantling the existing earth retaining wall, and without significantly increasing a cross-sectional shape of the existing earth retaining wall.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of projecting a bottom edge of a new soldier beam 21 below an existing soldier beam 11 by press-fitting the new soldier beam 21 along the existing soldier beam 11 of a soldier beam-horizontal sheathing earth retaining wall 10, and arranging horizontal sheathing boards 22, 22 between the adjacent new soldier beams 21. |
