PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a possibility of an occurence of deviation in a scan position among optical scanning devices arising from a temperature difference among the optical scanning devices without much loss of silence.SOLUTION: An image formation device is provided with a plurality of optical scanning devices. Each of the optical scanning devices comprises: a rotary polygon mirror that reflects a laser beam output from a light source to scan a photoreceptor; and a temperature detection part that detects temperatures as to a motor rotating the rotary polygon mirror and the optical scanning device. When image formation is performed using only one optical scanning device, the image formation device executes all-motor drive processing that drives a motor of a non-used optical scanning device at a first rotary velocity when a temperature condition that a maximum of a temperature difference between a temperature detected by the temperature detection part of the optical scanning device and temperatures detected by all of other temperature detection parts exceeds over a predetermined temperature is satisfied. When the image formation is completed during the execution of the all-motor drive processing, the image formation device changes the motor of the non-used optical scanning device to a second rotary velocity slower than the first rotary velocity. |
