摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbocharger which includes a turbine rotor comprising a turbine wheel and a shaft that are joined by a brazing filler metal and in which an amount of exhaust gas leaking from an entrance side of the turbine wheel through a back face to a brazed part is decreased to suppress reduction in the strength of the brazed part due to a rise in the temperature in the brazed part during an operation.SOLUTION: A turbocharger including a turbine housing 3 and a bearing housing 10 includes; a back plate 11 disposed on a back side of the turbine wheel 5 along the back side, leaving a clearance from the back side; a fixing part 11a of the back plate formed on an outer periphery of the back plate 11 and fixed to a joined part between the turbine housing 3 and the shaft housing 10; an opening 35 that is formed in an inner periphery of the back plate 11 and into which a cylindrical flange 10b is inserted while leaving a clearance; and a throttle part 36 formed between the back side of the turbine wheel 5 and a side face on the inner periphery of the back plate 11, for suppressing a flow volume of exhaust gas leaking from an entrance side of the turbine wheel 5 through the back side to a joined part B of a brazing filler metal.
