<p>A deflectable membrane 34 is mounted in spaced relationship to, and covering the output side of the reflex port 19. The deflectable membrane may be a polyurethane elastic film, a semi rigid membrane or rigid membrane with a flexible surround (34, 36 fig 2). A means of adjusting the degree of coupling between the reflex port and the deflectable membrane is also included 40, 42. This is said to more efficiently couple sound waves emitted from the reflex port with the surrounding air.</p> |
