<p>A room of a caravan, motorhome or transportable building is ventilated by extracting heat from gases vented from the room through an outlet vent 20 and transferring the extracted heat to gases entering the room through an inlet vent 14 with a heat exchanging device 10. The inlet vent 14 may be located in a lower part of the room such as a wall or floor with the outlet vent 20 located in a ceiling or upper part of a wall of the room. The outlet vent 20 may direct the outlet gases via a conduit 16 towards the inlet vent 14 and a heat releasing section 12 of the heat exchanger 10 may surround the inlet vent 14. The heat releasing section may comprise a spiral or helical section and may receive outlet gases from the outlet vent.</p> |
