JOLT PREDICTION DEVICE AND PROGRAM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate prediction of physical quantity associated with jolts of a host vehicle with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A preceding vehicle jolt amount acquisition unit 30 and a data acquisition unit 32 detect time series data of a jolt amount of a preceding vehicle and that of a host vehicle, respectively. An inter-vehicle time computation unit 36 computes a difference between the time the host vehicle passed a certain point and the time the preceding vehicle passed the same point. A jolt correlation function computation unit 46 computes a correlation function of the jolt amount on the basis of the time-series data of the jolt amount of the host vehicle and the preceding vehicle acquired up to the same point. A host vehicle jolt prediction unit 48 predicts frequency characteristics associated with expected jolts of the host vehicle up to a present location of the preceding vehicle on the basis of the time series data of the jolt amount of the preceding vehicle and the computed correlation function of the jolt amount.
