PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory system capable of easily providing notification of a result of a memory test method in a memory system constituted by two SSDs.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, two SSDs 10A and 10B having memories 11A-1, ..., 11B-1, ... and controllers 12A and 12B are connected to each other via a communication line. The controllers 12A and 12B respectively include: diagnosis units 124A and 124B that perform self-diagnostic processing of the memories 11A-1, ...; communication units 122A and 122B that perform communication between the controllers 12A and 12B that are opposite to each other; and status output units 125A and 125B. The communication units 122A and 122B perform: start-time synchronization processing that is performed before the self-diagnostic processing; and end-time synchronization processing that is performed after the self-diagnostic processing. The diagnostic units 124A and 124B obtain a total diagnostic result from diagnostic results of the two SSDs 10A and 10B, and one of the status output units 125A and 125B of the SSDs 10A and 10B outputs the total diagnostic result. |
