PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling base material that can improve performance of wiping out fingerprints caused by a finger or the like.SOLUTION: An antifouling base material includes a base material 1 having a surface, and an antifouling layer 2 provided on the surface of the base material. The antifouling layer 2 includes at least one of a first compound having an ester linkage in a portion other than the terminal, and a second compound having a cyclic hydrocarbon group. An advancing contact angle of oleic acid on the surface of the antifouling layer 2 is 15° or less and a receding contact angle of the oleic acid on the surface of the antifouling layer 2 is 10° or less.
