PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of increasing nutrient of vegetables without consuming water content necessary for photosynthesis.SOLUTION: A refrigerator has an ultrasonic wave oscillation part 42 for applying ultrasonic waves toward an upper storage container 36 stored in a vegetable chamber 16 and vegetables 100 stored in a lower storage container 38. Ultrasonic wave reflecting means for reflecting the ultrasonic waves are provided on wall surfaces of the upper storage container 36 and the lower storage container 38, so that not only the ultrasonic waves irradiated from the ultrasonic wave oscillation part 42 directly impinge on upper parts of the vegetables 100, but also the reflected ultrasonic waves impinge on other parts than the upper part of the vegetables 100, consequently stimulus can be imparted on the vegetables 100 in all directions, and the ratio of the increase of nutrient is therefore increased. |
