PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing costs of a semiconductor integrated circuit on which a protection circuit is mounted.SOLUTION: A protection circuit has: a first transistor and a second transistor serially connected between a first power source terminal and a second power source terminal via a first node; a bias circuit for outputting a voltage at a center of a first power source voltage and a second power source voltage to the first node while the first power source voltage is supplied to the first power source terminal and the second power source voltage is supplied to the second power source terminal; a first trigger circuit receiving the first power source voltage and a voltage of the first node as a power source voltage to actuate, and turning on a first transistor when a voltage surge is applied to the first power source terminal; and a second trigger circuit receiving the voltage of the first node and the second power source voltage as a power source voltage to actuate, and turning on a second transistor when the voltage of the first node increases according to the voltage surge applied to the first power source terminal. |
