PURPOSE: A headlight beam angle control device and a control method thereof prevent the glare of a driver in an opposite car by automatically controlling the headlight depending on the condition of a road surface. CONSTITUTION: A headlight beam angle control device (10) controls a headlight beam angle of a vehicle. A pressure detection unit (30) detects pressure applied to the front wheels of the vehicle. An obstacle determination unit (40) determines the existence of obstacles at the front side of the vehicle. A control unit (20) controls the beam angle of the headlight according to the pressure detected by the pressure detection unit and the existence of the obstacles determined by the obstacle determination unit.
