NANOWIRE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanowire having stable properties which are hardly affected by the environment and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: An opening of nano-size is formed in a substrate. A carbon-containing material is embedded in the opening to form a linear structure of the nano-size in the opening. Heat treatment is then carried out, whereby carbon in the material is segregated on the surface of the linear structure to form a film of carbon.
