PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a paper-made barrier packaging material that has a water vapor barrier layer and a gas barrier layer, which are provided by coating a water-based coating material, and has excellent gas barrier property as well as water vapor barrier property.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a paper-made barrier packaging material provided with a water vapor barrier layer and a gas barrier layer on its paper base material in this order, the gas barrier layer is provided by a curtain coating method or an air knife coating method. The paper-made barrier packaging material obtained by the method has excellent gas barrier property and water vapor barrier property.
