PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of solenoid attraction force even under conditions where print jobs for printing a small number of sheets are repeatedly executed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a photoreceptor drum 21a; a developing roller 241a; a main motor 70 for giving driving force thereto; solenoid; a clutch mechanism for transmitting the drive force F1 from the main motor 70 to the developing roller 241a by the turn-off of the solenoid, and blocking the transmission of the driving force F1 by the turn-on of the solenoid; and control means for blocking the transmission of the drive force by the clutch mechanism, by turning off the solenoid before the main motor 70 is completely stopped after a stop signal is given to the main motor 70. |
