摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit memory effects in an energy storage device for outputting an auxiliary machine drive power, and to ensure vehicle starting performance.SOLUTION: An energy storage system has a first energy storage device, a second energy storage device, a first DC/DC converter, and a second DC/DC converter. The first energy storage device outputs an energy for travelling a vehicle and the second energy storage device outputs a power for driving an auxiliary machine mounted on the vehicle. The first DC/DC converter converts an output voltage of the first energy storage device and supplies a resulting power to the auxiliary machine and the second energy storage device. The second DC/DC converter converts an output voltage of the second energy storage device and supplies a resulting power to the first energy storage device. A controller supplies an output voltage of the second energy storage device to the first energy storage device through the second DC/DC converter and implements a discharge process for discharging the second energy storage device. When the discharge process is initiated, the controller activates the first DC/DC converter.
