Disclsoed herein is the use of trifloxystrobin and salts thereof to protect harvested fruit or vegetables against phytopathogenic fungi, characterized in that diseases are caused by the fungi selected from Fusarium spp., Verticillium spp., Nigrospora spp.; Phytophthora spp., Septoria spp., Mucor spp., Monilinia spp., Venturia spp., Glomerella spp., Sclerotinia spp., Ceratocystis spp., Gloeosporium spp., Phlyctaena spp., Cylindrocarpon spp., Stemphyllium spp., Phacydiopycnis spp., Thielaviopsis spp., Aspergillus spp., Nectria spp., Pezicula spp.
