598327 - Shock protection device and system A device to protect workers and equipment from electric shock from power lines whilst allowing transmission of radio frequency (GHz) signals from or to an antenna that may be placed near the power lines includes first and second waveguides 20, 22 arranged coaxially end-to-end and electrically insulated from each other but able to transmit rf signals between the respective signal wires 38, 40 across the gap 36 between the adjacent ends of the waveguides. The wires 38, 40 project into the respective guides from the connector pins 32, 34 inserted through the walls of the waveguides. Cables that connect the device to the antenna and the signal receiver respectively are connected to the respective exterior ends of the connector pins.
