<p>PURPOSE: A sheet stacking apparatus and an image forming apparatus having the same are provided to precisely regulate the position of a sheet using an auxiliary guide member even if a gap exists between a guide member and the side edge of the sheet. CONSTITUTION: A sheet stacking apparatus comprises a sheet tray (500), a lift plate (530), a regulating part (520), and an auxiliary regulating member (70). The sheet tray has a sheet receiving space for receiving multiple sheets therein. The lift plate is arranged on the sheet receiving space and pushes up one edge of the sheets. The regulating part is formed to be movable between pre-set fixing positions and regulates the position of the sheets. The auxiliary regulating member regulates the side edge of the sheets pushed by the lift plate using a first biasing force when the number of the sheets received in the sheet tray is one.</p> |
