590084 Disclosed is a fuel cartridge system for driving fastening elements in an internal combustion engine hand tool such as a nail gun. The fuel cartridge system includes a fuel cartridge containing a fuel and at least one graph of fuel characteristics. The graph includes a plurality of curves (F1-F5) representing pressure of the fuel as a function of temperature of the fuel. The plurality of curves corresponds to a plurality of filling levels of the fuel in the fuel cartridge. The system is adapted to determine the filling level of the fuel in the fuel cartridge based on the graph and to regulate delivery of the fuel to a combustion chamber of the tool based on the determined filling level.
