PURPOSE: A tool to burnish a dimple for molding and a method thereof are provided to efficiently mold the dimple with respect to a target processing surface in a narrow part such as a later surface of a groove unit. CONSTITUTION: A tool to burnish a dimple (71) for molding comprises a mandrel (2) and a frame. The frame is inserted into the rear end of the mandrel and maintains a plurality of balls (3) connecting to an outer circumferential surface (23) of the mandrel. The ball on the outer circumferential surface is connected to a processing surface (7) according to the rotation of the mandrel and the frame and molds the dimple. While the mandrel is bent for molding the dimple, the diameter of the outer circumferential surface of the mandrel is set to minify a difference of a front side and a rear side with respect to a distance (L) in a vertical direction on a target processing object between a connecting surface (23a) of a ball which is a target processing object surface on the outer circumferential surface and the target processing object surface before the mandrel is bent.
