PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robust wide angle antenna and a robust array antenna that obtain a gain having no high peak and no null over a wide angle and suffer a reduced variation of a radiation characteristic for a dimensional change.SOLUTION: An array antenna 100 has a plurality of wide angle antennas 110 arrayed in a line on one surface (radiation surface) of a substrate 120. The wide angle antenna 110 comprises one feed element 111 and two passive elements 112 arranged on the substrate 120. The feed element 111 is formed such that a length in an excitation direction is λg/2. The two passive elements 112 are arranged with the feed element 111 interposed therebetween in a direction perpendicular to the excitation direction of the feed element 111. A patch length L of the passive elements 112 is greater than 0.5 λg and not greater than 0.75 λg, and thereby a wideband antenna characteristic is obtained without influence of a change in the patch length L. |
