PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device that allows a user to easily view display by display control.SOLUTION: A terminal device comprises: a display device which can control display by a control signal; and a terminal body for outputting a display signal to the display device. The terminal device further comprises: determining means for determining a use state of the terminal device; and control means for setting a frequency of the control signal to a predetermined first frequency if the determining means determines that the use state of the terminal device determined by the determining means is a specific use state, and setting the frequency of the control signal to a second frequency having a frequency lower than the first frequency if the determining means determines that the use state is other than the specific use state.
